In six years of medical training, just four hours are devoted to headache

I just came across this article on Victoria’s Herald Sun web site, about how three million Australians are missing out on vital medical help for migraines, which has emerged as Australia’s most neglected chronic illness.
There is a LOT of great information in the article, but the most shocking statistic is this:

In six years of medical training, just four hours are devoted to headache.

My first thought was, “No wonder my own headaches were so hard to diagnose!”  I don’t know if the above statement applies in other countries, but it clearly identifies the need for further education and research.
